A couple of weeks ago Jason Dominy became frustrated enough to rant a bit on Twitter (probably not the best idea). The issue essentially being that there are high quality cafes within the industry that don’t get the “respect” they deserve from the global coffee community. Breaking on Sprudge this morning is news of an apparent strike by the workers of Gorilla Coffee in Brooklyn’s Park Slope. Although not unionized like the workers at Ithaca’s Coffee Co, it appears that employees planned a walk-out that began last night.
