Looking for Recommendations in Denver and Aspen

Posted on June 9, 2011 by

Thanks to some wonderful people on Twitter I’ve managed to compile a list of places to try during my first visit to Colorado. In addition to the indulgences that will be available to us during the Food & Wine Classic, my intention is to visit as many of these places as possible. If I’m missing any amazing spots, please tell me!

Mike if you’re going to Boulder, you have to check out Pizzeria Locale & Frasca Caffe, the two new joints from Bobbie and Lachlen.

getting beans from Toby Estate Coffee Roasters in sydney (opening shop in NYC
    soon)
Peach’s for bfast, mozzarella/tomato sandwich or kale salad, casa tua for proper and inspired italian & inspired
cocktails, The Cheese shop (aka Marco & kiley’s for paninis), Montagna,
Ajax Tavern, matsuhisa, wild fig. Viceroy Snowmass’ Eight K cocktail menu and new menu is outstanding. Franck Thirion for croissants.

This is great, thanks Maureen! I heard Toby Estate was actually attending the Classic, but didn’t know that’s what Victoria used.

The best place to get a taste of Conscious Coffees, by the way, is at Innisfree Poetry bookstore on the Hill, the head barista Lindsey, is a very talented man.
