NYC Cafes to Visit During the NERBC
Posted on March 26, 2011 by Mike
Coming to NYC for the NERBC? Here’s my map of places in Manhattan that you may want to visit. Some places have multiple locations but have only been listed once, and there are many more places in Brooklyn if you’re feeling adventurous. The map is hosted over on NFT so click through for brief descriptors, address details, and phone numbers.
twitchy does nyc: Liz Clayton’s 2010 list of NYC cafes worth a visit. Still relevant.
The Scoop: The (free) New York Times iPhone guide to NYC. Included in this app are guides to other vices (like booze!), but Oliver Strand’s “Filter” section lists all the cafes you may want to visit, sorts them geographically, and gives you detailed introductions to each.
New York’s Best Coffee: This $.99 app also sorts NYC cafes geographically and provides brief introductions to each, but also includes a rating feature that lists the “best coffee” in NY (note: the metrics used to determine “the best” aren’t exactly clear to me).
Also, don’t forget: There’s a BIG party going down on April 9th. The winner of the latte art competition wins a TRIP TO BRAZIL. If you’re feeling more altruistic, please also attend ROSETTAS FOR RELIEF v4.0: Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Response.
