Kalita Wave Stainless Steel Dripper

Posted on March 11, 2011 by

I’ve been really enjoying this Kalita Wave that I got from Ginny Wang via Christopher Owens (thanks guys!) and am happy to hear that Wrecking Ball will soon be stocking replacement filters.

The above brew was made with Ritual Coffee Roasters Rutuma’s Marua Kenya, which unfortunately seems to be all gone now.

Ah, old post, I don’t know if you’ll get this. Kalita–is it worthwhile if you already have a v60?

Pros: possibly easier to use, possibly better extractions
Cons: filters are hard to come by and pricey

    Your thoughts good sir?

I think they’re different and love having both. But I have tons of brew methods, and loving having them all.

Cool. How’d you describe that difference? A couple of folks told me that Kalita emphasizes sweetness while the Hario brings out better acidity.

This is pretty cool. I love this product, it seems that it is really beautiful and can also produce tasty and quality products.
