Intelligentsia’s New Space in Pasadena

Joshua Lurie from Food GPS gets the first look at Intelligentsia’s newest cafe located in Pasadena, CA. Aside from the company’s growth in general there doesn’t seem to be much to report about the new space (yet). Syphons, pourovers, Synessos, etc. Clovers, I imagine, will not be on the menu. The biggest departure from the standard they’ve set will be the addition of alcohol. But since they’ve apparently partnered with Eagle Rock Brewery, this doesn’t come as huge surprise. Most intriguing is the inclusion of a “speakeasy coffee bar” in the basement, which most likely will be used by baristas sleeping off their Eagle Rock hangovers.
