Petunia - you're not alone. I know several people tha don't go there anymore and now go to other coffee shops. It's really a shame!

I miss Barrington too! So much, that I started ordering their beans direct, and haven't been back to Joe since.

You know what is really disturbing to me is that with all the attention to the "art" my worry is that the coffee extraction, milk prep and just plain proper drink preparation is being disregarded. Yes it looks nice but is it a good tasting latte. One sip and the art is gone. Too much attention to the visual art and too little attention to the art of coffee.
  • I must say, while I've never been there so I can't comment on the taste, that is one of the most gorgeous latte art hearts I have ever seen.

I don't work at Joe so I might be biased too but I was a regular customer. I miss Barrington. The new drip coffee from Ecco is totally different and really unfortunate. It's weaker and thinner. I could probably get used to the new Espresso but I still like the lower volume great flavor of Barrington.

I work at Joe, so I am biased, but that is one beautiful drink. Looks like a Brian Jackson to me. Ecco is amazing.
