Awning Ahead
Our latest venture in this game called Gimme! has been open for business for just over six weeks now. Today concluded the final step in all the major projects that opening a new cafe entails.
It took longer than expected, but it’s done now.
Meanwhile back in Ithaca, our original shop is finishing up an extreme makeover. Started in 2000, Cayuga St is now looking towards the future…
And did I mention the NERBC? Oh yeah, I did right here. Well the infrastructure for that has quietly been grinding itself out as well. With all these projects happening simultaneously it’s hard to imagine anything else going on, but rest assured, some additional developments will be unveiled shortly.

Sexy! Staying on top I see, stacking up the reasons for another visit. I do wish getting to the NERBC was more possible, but I need the GLRBC clouds to pass. They’re good clouds though, the ones that match up with a bright blue and sun-shine day, in case you were wondering.

What? What happened to that sexy wooden countertop?

Scott, i’ll be thinking of you. Good luck with everything.
Phil, good question. Knowing them they probably reused it somewhere else, or are planning to. It’s probably just in storage at the Compound right now.

I like that the counter top was considered sexy. I probably would have chosen to describe it as rustic, or ewok-village-like. So it’s obviously a personal experience, and if anyone out there is interested in forming their own opinion they can see the former Cayuga St. counter top at home in our training lab on State St. It’s a perfect fit.

Awnings rule. Ours cost as much as our Clover but I would say it is equally important to our business just in the enhanced visibility that we get.
